PROJECTS
As part of our Ghazni-Hayward sister city relationship program, we are currently considering projects in education, public health, and re-construction of Ghazni province. Our Sister City Committee will raise funds to support these projects. During the last meeting, the committee has voted to initiate the following two projects:
Sister School
Ghazni City Officials will indentify a 5th grade class that we will connect with Tyrel Elementry in Hayward. The two schools will do some art exchange & letter but also encourage the kids to raise funds which will buy school supplies and furniture. Our goal is help the province of Ghazni but since it's a city to city program we will focus this first classroom connection in the City of Ghazni. If this project goes smoothly we will introduce other schools in Hayward to schools in Ghazni.
Ghazni web site
To increase awareness about Ghazni, a web site is currently being established. It will include topics such as history, culture, art, reconstruction, sister city projects and other pertinent information about Ghazni. Please share information, photos, or any idea you may have to improve this web site.
